Mayor, Joe Anderson and Cllr Phil Davies officially announce the launch of the Liverpool & Wirral Social Stock Exchange pilot at the International Festival for Business 2016.
“The Liverpool and Wirral Social Stock Exchange will pair up investors with social enterprises in mutually beneficial relationships that will pay dividends for the people of the region as a whole.” Cllr Phil Davies.

The Liverpool and Wirral Social Stock Exchange pilot has been launched to help local purpose-driven businesses find investment from socially-minded investors. Job creation and sustainability is at the heart of new venture and local businesses and investors are invited to register with the exchange for more information.WHAT WE DO
Liverpool and Wirral businesses, charities and investors all took part in research to find out whether the project would be a welcome addition to the city’s network.
There was overwhelming support for the initiative with an average of 92%* of all people saying YES when asked whether a Liverpool & Wirral Social Stock Exchange would be good for the local economy.
Also of significant encouragement, 38%* of all business owners and managers said that they considered their businesses had a ‘social, ethical or environmental purpose that might be suitable for inclusion in a Liverpool & Wirral Social Stock Exchange’.
